Clubs and associations usually start by asking for a quote, because that is how custom clothing has always worked: a minimum of thirty, a set-up charge per colour, a week of back-and-forth. None of that applies here, and it is worth being explicit about why.
Printing is digital and made to order. There is no screen to prepare, so there is nothing to amortise over a minimum quantity. That means a small club can order eleven shirts without being penalised for not being a big one.
1. What it costs, by quantity
| Items in the basket | Discount | Applied |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 9 | — | Price shown, shipping included |
| 10 to 24 | −10% | Automatically, nothing to enter |
| 25 and above | −15% | Automatically, nothing to enter |
Items add up across products: ten mixed objects count as ten. So a club ordering fifteen t-shirts and eight mugs reaches the second tier.
| Object | Price, shipping included |
|---|---|
| T-shirt, Gildan 64000 Softstyle, cotton 150 gsm, unisex S–2XL | $23.00 |
| Sweatshirt, Gildan 18000, fleece 270 gsm | $45.00 |
| Hoodie, Gildan 18500 | $50.00 |
| Cotton tote bag, 38 × 42 cm (15 × 16.5 in) | $35.00 |
| Ceramic mug, 325 ml | $23.00 |
The important line is shipping included. A collection that covers the price shown covers the whole thing — there is no delivery figure appearing at the end to explain to the treasurer.
2. Handling sizes for a group
This is where group orders actually fail — not on price, on the four people who never reply.
- One shared sheet. One row per person: name, size. Not a chat thread where sizes arrive in twenty messages.
- Unisex S to 2XL. Say so up front, because unisex sizing runs straight rather than fitted, and someone between two sizes is usually happier with the smaller one.
- A deadline, and then order. Set a date, announce it twice, and order on that date.
- Two spares. Order one M and one L more than you need. A spare shirt costs less than a week of delay, and someone always changes their mind or brings a friend.
If the group is large and the names differ per shirt, build the first one, add it to the basket, change the name and add the next. Each variation is its own item, and they all count towards the discount.
3. Which file to supply for a club logo
The single most common problem in club orders is the logo file, not the design.
- Best: a PNG with a transparent background, at least 2000 pixels on the longest side. The transparent background is what lets the garment colour show through instead of a white box.
- Usually fine: a logo exported from a PDF at high resolution, or an original file from whoever designed it.
- Avoid: a logo screenshotted from a website. A screenshot is limited to the screen's own resolution and carries the page background with it, which prints as a visible rectangle around the crest.
- Avoid: a logo pulled out of a group chat, which has been recompressed at least once.
If the only file anyone has is a small JPEG with a white background on a coloured shirt, the honest fix is to print on a white or sand garment, where the white box is invisible.
4. Which object, by occasion
| Occasion | What works |
|---|---|
| A tournament, a race, a match day | T-shirts — light, worn on the day, photographed |
| A winter club, a training group | Sweatshirts or hoodies — worn all season, which is the real test |
| An association, a fundraiser, a stand | Tote bags — they leave with visitors and keep circulating |
| A committee, volunteers, a thank-you | Mugs — the cheapest way to give everyone something |
5. When to order
Count 5 to 10 working days in the UK, Europe and the US, up to 15 elsewhere, printing included — then add a week of margin for a dated event. Items may arrive in several parcels, a few days apart, because each object is made in the nearest workshop able to produce it; that changes nothing on price, but it does mean you should not panic when the mugs arrive before the shirts.
In short
- No minimum, no set-up fee, no quote.
- −10% from 10 items, −15% from 25, automatic.
- Shipping included in the price shown.
- Sizes: one sheet, one deadline, two spares.
- Logo: transparent PNG, 2000 px or more. Never a screenshot.
- Order at least two weeks before a dated event.
Before you order, the preview is computed in your own browser and nothing is transmitted; the print file goes to the printer at payment and is deleted after dispatch. Personalised items are exempt from the standard European right of withdrawal (Directive 2011/83/EU, article 16(c)), and anything that arrives damaged or wrongly printed is reprinted at no charge. You must hold the rights to the logo or photo you upload — for a club crest, that means asking whoever designed it if it was not the club itself.
