photographing a black petPhotographing a black dog or a black cat: four fixes that work
It is not your phone. A light meter assumes the scene averages to mid grey, so a black coat is either muddied or crushed. Light behind you, exposure up about +1, no flash — and a light object to print on.
pet photo mugYour dog or cat on a mug: choosing a photo they are recognisable in
A black dog shot in a dim room becomes a silhouette with no eyes. Face a window, at the animal’s eye level, burst mode — and crop head and chest, because a mug is curved and has a handle.
gift with a pet photoYour cat or your dog, printed: what works, and what fails
Fur has no clean edge, so a cluttered background leaves a halo once printed. Plain background, eye level, daylight, burst mode — and which item suits which coat colour.
photo resolution for printingIs your photo sharp enough to print? The 30-second test
The simple rule that tells you in 30 seconds whether your photo will hold on A4, on a mug or on a t-shirt: pixels, inches, and the WhatsApp and screenshot traps.
gotcha day giftAdoption anniversary gift for a dog or cat: the before-and-after photo
The first day at home next to today, on a framed print, a mug or a calendar.
does it fade in the washDoes a printed photo fade? Washing and care, object by object
Heat and friction are what age a print, not the ink. The rules, object by object: fabric, mug, paper, canvas.
what size should I takeSize guide: t-shirt, sweatshirt and hoodie measurements
Chest, length and sleeve in centimetres and inches, S to 2XL, and how to find your size by measuring a garment you already own.
printing a photo on a t-shirtA photo on a t-shirt: the ones that print well, the ones that fail
Not every photo works on a t-shirt. Contrast, background, how much of the frame the subject fills: the 5-point checklist before you print yours.
when to order a personalised Christmas giftPersonalised Christmas gifts 2026: the real order deadline, by country
Printed to order, not pulled from stock. Order by 10 December for the EU, by 3 December for the UK, the US and Switzerland. Shipping included in the price.
personalised Valentine's giftValentine's Day 2027: give your own photo instead of one more gift
14 February falls on a Sunday. Order by 29 January in the EU, by 22 January in the UK, the US and Switzerland. Mug, framed print or t-shirt, shipping included.
corporate merchandise, no quoteCorporate merchandise for an offsite, a team event or a trade show
One logo uploaded once, printed on mugs, t-shirts, tote bags and more. 10% off from 10 items, 15% from 25. No minimum, no set-up fee, no quote to request.
gift for a dog ownerA gift for a dog or cat owner — without having the photo
Getting the photo without spoiling the surprise, checking it is sharp enough to print, spelling the pet's name right, and choosing the object by how close you are to the person.
custom dog tote bagA tote bag with your dog's photo, printed to order
Crouch to your dog's eye level, fill the frame with the head, daylight behind you, burst mode — and pick a bag colour that contrasts with the coat.
custom cat tote bagA tote bag with your cat's photo, printed to order
A cat will not pose, so go to it: lie down at its level near a window and burst-shoot the moment it lifts its head. Then choose the bag colour against the coat.
framed pet photoYour dog or cat in a frame, on the wall the day it arrives
Choose the size from the wall, not from the animal. How many pixels you really need, why you should not cut the animal out, and what to write under the photo.
pet photo calendarA 2027 calendar with your dog's or cat's photos
Sort by month, not by quality: twelve decisions instead of one impossible one. The photo area is landscape, A4 or A3, and the Christmas deadlines.
pet photo postcardsTen postcards with your dog's or cat's photo, and a back you can write on
A pack is ten copies of the same card. How to crop for A6, and why 300 gsm uncoated card takes a pen where glossy refuses it.
pet memorialKeeping a trace of an animal that is no longer there
One photo rather than a collage, an object you look at rather than use, where to hang it and what to write under it. And why there is nothing you have to decide right now.
christmas pet giftA Christmas gift with your dog's or cat's photo — and what to do now
The urgent part in autumn is the photo, not the order: daylight runs out in December. Which object for which person, and the real order deadlines.
halloween bagHalloween: the named trick-or-treat bag, and the photo you will use again at Christmas
A cotton tote holds more than a bucket and ends the argument about whose bag is whose. Photograph the costume in daylight, never with flash.
photo hoodieA personalised photo hoodie: the print area is square, and that changes everything
The print area is square, about 30 × 30 cm (11.8 × 11.8 in), not portrait like a t-shirt — so most phone photos get cropped. How to choose the photo and match it to the garment colour.
leaving giftA leaving gift for a colleague, made from the team photo
Which object suits which working relationship, how to make a team photo printable, when to order before the send-off, and what the GDPR means for printing colleagues.
custom team t-shirtsCustom t-shirts for a club, a team or an association
No minimum order, no set-up fee, no quote: one shirt costs the same per unit as the first of fifty. How to collect sizes and which logo file to supply.
hen party bagsHen party tote bags: one each, with the photo or the name
The only gift from the weekend that survives it. Which photo works, how much text fits, and how long before the trip to order.
new baby giftA personalised new baby gift, when the photo does not exist yet
The gift is wanted before there is a photo. Give the parents the means to make it, or wait a month — the parcel in week five is the one that gets noticed.
housewarming giftA housewarming gift that does not take up floor space
Someone who has just moved has too many objects and nowhere to put them. A framed photo hangs on the one kind of space a new home has too much of.
where it is madeWhere our products are printed
Who prints, where and with which process — including what we do not do ourselves. No factory-by-factory traceability claimed.
christmas photo giftA personalised Christmas gift with a photo: which object, which photo, and by when
The photo taken at Christmas is almost never the one to print — December light is gone by mid-afternoon. Choose from the whole year, and order by 10 December in the EU.
godparent giftA gift for a godparent: the photo of them with the child
The photo of them holding the baby beats any posed portrait. Write the two first names and the year, not a sentence, and check both spellings.
mother's day giftA Mother's Day gift with a photo — and the date, which is not the same everywhere
Mothering Sunday in the UK is 7 March 2027, the second Sunday of May in the US is 9 May, the last Sunday of May in France is 30 May. Which photo works, and when to order.
best man giftA thank-you for a best man, a maid of honour or a bridesmaid
A photo of you with them, usually from long before the wedding. Why the photographer's pictures are not yours to print, and why giving it three weeks after the day works better.
funny personalised giftA funny personalised gift: printing an inside joke without it falling flat
A printed joke is funny once — the question is what the object is on day two. Which photos carry a joke, how much text is too much, and where the line is.
father's day giftA Father's Day gift with a photo — and the date, which is not the same everywhere
Third Sunday of June in France, the UK and the US, Ascension Day in Germany, first Sunday of September in Australia. Him doing his thing beats the posed portrait.
black fridayBlack Friday 2026: our prices do not go up in order to come back down
No event discount and no struck-through prices here. How to check in two minutes whether a deal elsewhere is real, and what that weekend is actually useful for.
hanukkah giftsHanukkah 2026: eight nights, and the art of giving small
One photo across several small objects beats eight separate ideas — and candlelight photographs do not print. Order by 19 November in the EU.
