Can the photo be turned into a portrait or a drawing?
Yes. You can print the photo as it is, or have the studio redraw it in a style such as a royal portrait, a watercolor, a cartoon or pop art. It takes a few seconds, three tries are free, and the preview shows the result on the shirt or the mug before you pay. A free background-removal button cuts the pet out of the photo, right in your browser.
What photo of a dog or cat prints well?
- Eyes visible and sharp: shoot at the pet's eye level, in daylight, without flash.
- A tight crop: head and shoulders read better on a shirt than the whole animal on a lawn.
- Black or dark coat: soft daylight rather than direct sun, never flash, and cut the pet out of the background on a dark shirt so the outline stays readable.
- The original file: not a copy saved from a messaging app. The preview warns you if the image is too small.

A US order is printed in the United States, in the print partner's facility nearest the address, and you can ship it straight to the owner. For Christmas 2026, order by Thursday, December 10, and by Monday, December 7 for a comfortable margin; all the dates are on our Christmas 2026 order deadlines page. Can my cat's photo be turned into a drawing? Yes. In the studio you can keep the photo as it is, or have it redrawn by AI in a style such as a royal portrait, a watercolor, a cartoon or pop art. Three tries are free and you see the result on the item before paying.
My dog is black. Will the print work? Yes, with the right photo: soft daylight (an overcast sky beats direct sun), eyes visible, never flash. On a black shirt, cut the dog out of the background so the outline stays readable. The preview shows you the result before you order.
When should I order a pet photo gift for Christmas 2026? By Thursday, December 10, 2026, and by Monday, December 7 for a comfortable margin. Delivery dates are not guaranteed. After December 15, the digital gift card is sent by email.
