Aunts and uncles often see the children less than they'd like. The gift that works is the one that brings them closer: their nieces and nephews on something they look at every day.

The photo with the kids

The best photo is often one with your aunt or uncle in it, alongside the children: on their lap, at the beach, at the last birthday party. Otherwise, a photo of the children on their own, looking at the camera, works very well.

• A recent photo: they watch the children grow up from a distance, so show them what they look like this year.
• Several children: the Polaroid template («Polaroid» in the studio) or the Family template («Famille») sets off one photo without cluttering it.
• Short text: "For Auntie", "Merry Christmas, Uncle", or a family nickname, using the ready-made text styles.
• A small photo saved from a chat: the Make the photo sharper (AI) button helps.

From the nieces and nephews: the drawing

If the children are small, the most touching gift is one of their drawings. Photograph it in daylight, laid flat, with the phone held straight above it, and upload it in the studio: the preview on the mug appears straight away. Our guide to printing a child's drawing covers all the settings.

Delivered on time, to their door

Shipping is included, including straight to your aunt's or uncle's address: it doesn't need to come to you first. Printing and delivery take 5 to 10 working days in the UK, Europe and the US, up to 15 elsewhere.

For Friday 25 December, order before Thursday 10 December for delivery in Europe; outside the UK, Europe and the US, allow extra time and aim to order by early December.
