Every year, the same scene: mid-December, you need to find an end-of-year gift for clients, employees, or members. And every year, we fall back on the engraved pen that no one keeps. The personalized photo calendar avoids this fate for a simple reason: it stays on the wall for twelve months. It is the only end-of-year gift that is still working for you in July.
Mid-September is the right time to get started. Not because it's urgent, but because the real work on a calendar isn't the ordering: it's choosing the twelve photos.
Why a calendar lasts longer than a standard promo item
A mug stays on a desk, a tote bag goes off to do groceries. The calendar, however, is looked at every day, by the person and by everyone who enters the room. With a different photo for each month, you have twelve opportunities to tell a story: your workshops, your teams, your projects, your products, the highlights of the past year.
Two formats, both for 2027, 14 pages, spiral binding, French public holidays included:
- the A4 wall calendar (21 × 29.7 cm) at €26.90 — the office format, the one you can mail without breaking the bank;
- the A3 wall calendar (29.7 × 42 cm) at €28.90 — the workshop, kitchen, or breakroom format, the one you can see from a distance.
In both cases, shipping is included in the displayed price. Nothing extra appears at checkout.
Fifteen, twenty-five, fifty: what it really costs
This is where it gets interesting when ordering for a group. The bulk discount applies automatically in the cart, with no code required: −10% from 10 items, −15% from 25. Items are cumulative, so ten different objects count as ten.
- 15 A4 calendars: €363.15 instead of €403.50, delivered;
- 30 A4 calendars: €685.95 instead of €807.00.
You can mix and match: twenty A3 calendars for partners and ten photo mugs for the team—that makes thirty items, so the 25-item threshold is met. Details of the tiers are on the customized bulk promo items page. One caveat to keep in mind: the three wooden frames are excluded from the discount and do not count toward the threshold.
Choosing the twelve photos without spending three weeks on it
The trap is opening the year's photo folder and getting lost in it. A method that works: don't look for twelve beautiful photos, look for twelve moments. One per month, in calendar order. The trade show in March, the project in May, the coffee break in September. The story tells itself and the choice becomes mechanical.
A few simple rules to ensure it looks good in large format:
- Horizontal or square format is preferred: the image area of a wall calendar is wider than it is tall; a vertical photo will be cropped.
- Natural light, and faces that aren't backlit. A photo taken outside on an overcast day is better than a photo taken with a flash.
- No screenshots or images taken from social media: they are re-compressed and it shows in A3. Use the original, the one that comes directly from the camera or phone.
- If in doubt about the file size, our page on photo resolution for printing provides concrete guidelines.
A word on team photos: ask for consent from the people appearing in them before printing thirty copies. It avoids an awkward conversation in January.
When to place the order
The site advertises 5 to 10 business days for everyone, manufacturing included. Count on a week, in short. But the printing lead time is not your real constraint: it's internal approval. If three people need to approve the photos, plan for a buffer.
An end-of-year calendar is ideally distributed in the second half of December, so it can be hung up on January 1st. Working backwards: order placed by the end of November at the latest, photo selection finalized by mid-November, brief launched now. You have a two-month cushion, which is comfortable — and that is exactly why it is better to start in September than in November.
How it works in practice
No quotes to request, no account to create, no minimum order required. You upload your photos to the online studio, place them on the screen month by month, add text if you like, and order. Your photos do not leave your browser until the moment of payment. Shipping within France.
Everything is printed to order, in Europe, and nothing is kept in stock: this is what makes it as easy to make fifteen different calendars as fifteen identical ones. If you want one calendar per department, with different photos, it's possible — you just need to go through the studio a few times.
Like any personalized product, a photo calendar is not eligible for the right of withdrawal (Article L221-28 3° of the Consumer Code). However, any printing, manufacturing, or shipping defect will be replaced or refunded, no questions asked.
Still hesitating on the format? Choose the A3 if the calendar ends up in a workshop, kitchen, or breakroom, and the A4 if you need to mail it to clients. When in doubt, order one of each and decide with the object in hand: you have the time.
