The joint gift

The mug, $23.00: the team photo or an office in-joke. It stays on their desk all year.
Ten postcards, $26.00: a photo on the front, signatures on the back. The spare cards cover the next birthdays.
The hoodie, $50.00: for a milestone birthday, $5.00 each between ten.
The cap, or the tote bag, $35.00: if they have a nickname at work.

The mathsBetween ten colleagues, the mug comes to $2.30 each; the mug and ten postcards to $4.90; the hoodie to $5.00. Shipping included.

The photo

The team photo from the last away day or the last team lunch does the job perfectly. Ask the people in it first, and avoid any photo that makes someone uncomfortable: what gets a laugh by the coffee machine does not necessarily get one on a mug that is kept for years.

No good group photo? The studio has ready-made templates, such as Polaroid or Magazine: upload a photo of them and the template turns it into a design.

The real problem at work is the birthday you find out about that morning. The A4 calendar, , fixes that: twelve photos of the team, one per month, with everyone's birthday marked on it. Hung by the coffee machine, it comes to $0.00 each between ten.
