The anniversary list, year by year

This is the traditional list most widely used in the UK and the US. Variations exist between countries and sources, especially for the in-between years, and the US also has a "modern" list with different materials: if the couple care about another version, theirs is the one that counts.

1st — paper: the ten postcards ($26.00), one photo of your first year on each, a line on the back.
2nd — cotton: the cotton tote bag ($35.00) or two matching t-shirts ($23.00 each).
3rd — leather: we don't work with leather; put the word on the photo, on a mug ($23.00).
4th — fruit and flowers (UK) or linen (US): the symbol in the design, on a mug or a canvas ($35.00).
5th — wood: the wooden frame, from $55.00. The material and the photo, together at last.
10th — tin: a 30×40 cm frame ($75.00) with a photo from each year.
15th — crystal and 20th — china: the wedding photo next to a photo of them today, framed.
25th — silver: "Silver anniversary", the wedding photo, framed or on canvas.
30th — pearl, 35th — coral, 40th — ruby: the calendar (), twelve photos of their life together.
50th — gold and 60th — diamond: the large 50×70 cm frame ($131.00) for the family celebration.

Worth knowingLists differ from country to country. In France, cotton is the first year, leather the second and ruby the thirty-fifth; the UK and US list puts cotton at two, leather at three and ruby at forty. If the couple (or their family) are French, check which list they go by.

When the material doesn't exist: write it

We don't print on tin, crystal or china. What works just as well: the wedding photo, the anniversary name and the two years. "Claire & Paul — China anniversary — 2007–2027". The symbol is in the words, the memory is in the photo.

The right photoAn old printed wedding photo can be photographed well: lay it flat, in daylight, without flash. Check that it is sharp enough before choosing a large format.

For a golden anniversary: the whole family

At fifty years of marriage, it is often the family who organise things. The large frame for the couple, and for the invitations, ten postcards ($26.00) with the wedding photo on the front and the invitation on the back. From ten items in the same basket, 10% comes off automatically, 15% from twenty-five.
