A4 or A3: which size to choose

Both sizes have the same content: 14 pages, ring-bound, French public holidays marked. Only the size changes, for a small difference in price.

A4, : 21 × 29.7 cm. For the kitchen, a desk, a bedroom door, a narrow wall. This is the size to give as several copies.
A3, a little more: 29.7 × 42 cm. For the main wall in the hallway or the living room, or for grandparents who want to see the photos from across the room.
One photo or twelve: both sizes take either a single photo for the whole year or a different photo for each month.

A photo per month: how the "12 months" tab works

In the studio, you start by uploading your main photo: it goes on the cover. Then the "12 months" tab lets you give each month a different photo. It's optional.

You fill every month: twelve photos, twelve months. A button lets you select several photos at once, so your whole selection goes in one go.
You fill some of them: months left empty use the main photo. Handy if you only have six good photos.
You fill none: the same photo stays with you all year. Simple, and perfect for a really good family photo.

Choosing 12 photos: common threads that work

Twelve random photos make an album. A common thread makes a calendar. A few ideas:

Getting the photos right, and mistakes to avoid

A calendar stays on the wall for twelve months: each photo will be looked at for about thirty days. A few pointers:

Photos that are too small: a photo saved from a chat can lack resolution. The Make the photo sharper (AI) button helps, and our guide to resolution gives the benchmarks.
Twelve almost identical photos: mix wide shots, portraits and details, or the year will feel long.
Dark photos: a photo taken at night looks worse printed than on screen. Go for daylight.
Not checking the framing month by month: look at every month in the preview before confirming, especially group photos, where a head can get cut off.
Ordering too late: printing and delivery take 5 to 10 working days in the UK, Europe and the US, up to 15 elsewhere. A 2027 calendar that arrives in January has already lost a month.

When to order for Christmas

Next year's calendar is a Christmas-tree classic. Christmas 2026 falls on Friday 25 December: in Europe, order before Thursday 10 December, and earlier if you're ordering several.
