Is a personalised mug dishwasher safe?
Not every personalised mug survives the dishwasher or the microwave: it depends on the material and on what the seller states. What to check, and how it works with us. Ceramic mug, dishwasher and microwave safe, $23.00 shipping included.

The answer depends on the mug, not on the photo
There is no single rule for “the personalised mug”. What matters is what the seller states for their model. Three things to read on the product page:
- The material: ceramic, glass, enamel, metal. A metal mug does not go in the microwave, whatever the print.
- The dishwasher mention: written in black and white, or missing. If it is missing, assume hand washing is the safer option.
- The microwave mention: it is separate. A mug can be dishwasher safe without being made for the microwave, and the other way round.
If the page says nothing, ask the seller before ordering, especially for a gift that will be used every day.
How it works at Pose ton design
Our mug is ceramic, 325 ml, with a print area of 20 × 9.5 cm. It is stated dishwasher and microwave safe. It costs $23.00, shipping included, no minimum.
If the mug arrives damaged in transit or has a manufacturing defect, report it within 14 days of receipt with your order number and a photo: replacement or refund free of charge, reply within 48 working hours. The French statutory guarantees of conformity (2 years) and against hidden defects also apply. The details are in the return policy.
The habits that keep a printed mug looking good
Even when the dishwasher is allowed, a few simple habits avoid bad surprises:
- No abrasive sponge on the printed area if you wash by hand.
- No sudden thermal shock: a scalding mug dropped into icy water is bad for any ceramic.
- Wedge the mug properly in the dishwasher so it does not knock against other items.
- In the microwave, only if the mug is stated compatible, which ours is.
The care advice for all our objects is gathered in caring for printed photos.
Mistakes to avoid
- Assuming all mugs are the same: the dishwasher mention is specific to each model and each seller.
- Mixing up dishwasher and microwave: they are two separate mentions.
- Comparing prices without shipping: compare the delivered price, not the price shown before postage. Our survey is in the delivered-price comparison.
- Choosing a photo that is too small: the workshop warns you, and a blurry photo supplied by the customer is not refunded.
Prices include VAT and shipping, no minimum order. Printed one at a time near the delivery address, delivered in 5 to 10 working days.
