If you are on the Social and Economic Committee (CSE), an office manager, or simply the person who was told "you're in charge of the end-of-year gifts," you know that the real problem isn't the budget. It's the calendar. Deciding in December means condemning yourself to an impersonal gift voucher. Deciding in October means offering something people will actually keep.

Why October, not November

A personalized gift is not in stock: it is made to order, one piece at a time. On the site, the announced lead time is 5 to 10 business days, manufacturing included. So, count on a week to a week and a half.

Except that a corporate order isn't just about manufacturing. Before that, there’s budget approval, choosing the visual, back-and-forth with management, and waiting for the person who replies three days later. After that, there’s distribution: the packages need to be on desks before everyone leaves for the holidays, not on December 22nd.

In practice: visual approved mid-October, order placed end of October, package received early November. You are then six weeks ahead with zero stress. It’s also the time when you can still retake a photo if it doesn't look quite right.

What photo to use for a team gift

The classic trap is just using the logo. That makes it "swag," not a gift: nobody uses that at home. What works is an image that tells the story of the year.

  • The group photo from the company retreat or the last team drinks, the one where everyone is recognizable. That’s the one that triggers a smile.
  • A photo of the workplace: the facade, the workshop, the view from the break room window. Simple, and surprisingly effective.
  • A year-in-review collage: twelve moments, one for each month, if you go with a calendar.

Technically speaking, use the original file, never one that has passed through an internal messaging system: compression causes a loss of sharpness, and it shows in the print. If you are hesitant, our page on the resolution required for a high-quality print provides the exact thresholds for each format.

What works depending on the size of the team

The budget per person dictates the product, but usage counts more. An item used every day is better received than a decorative object that gets tucked away.

  • Up to €15 per person: the photo mug at €16.90, 325ml ceramic, dishwasher safe. It’s the safest team gift, because it ends up on the desk and actually gets used.
  • Around €20: the t-shirt at €18.90 (Gildan 64000, from S to 2XL) if you have a team event planned, or postcards at €21.90 for a set of 10 for a greeting card that doesn't look like everyone else's.
  • Around €30: the 2027 A4 wall calendar at €26.90, 14 pages, spiral-bound, French holidays included. A different photo every month. It’s the quintessential end-of-year gift: it gets hung up in January and is still there in December.
  • Higher budget: the sweatshirt at €37.90 for a small team, or a wooden frame for a departure or an award ceremony.

Bulk discounts, in practice

This is the point many discover at checkout, so it's better to mention it beforehand. Starting from 10 items in the cart, the discount is 10%. From 25 items, it increases to 15%. It is automatic, there is no code to enter, and it displays on its own in the cart.

Items are cumulative, even if they are different: seven mugs and three calendars make ten, and the discount applies. Two real-world examples:

  • 10 mugs: €152.10 instead of €169.00
  • 15 A4 calendars: €363.15 instead of €403.50

One thing to know before building your cart: the three wooden frames are excluded from the discount, and they also do not count toward the threshold. If you plan for nine mugs and one frame, you don't hit the ten-item mark. Add a tenth mug instead. The breakdown of the thresholds is on the personalized bulk items page.

Details that avoid nasty surprises

A few practical points, because a corporate order leaves little room for improvisation:

  • The price shown is the price paid, delivery included, even for a single item. No extra fees appear at the final step, which simplifies expense reports.
  • Delivery to France, the EU, the UK, Switzerland and the United States.
  • Everything is printed to order at the partner site closest to the delivery address.
  • Sizes: for apparel, circulate a chart one week ahead. That is what causes team orders to drift, not the printing.
  • No right of withdrawal on a personalized product (Article L221-28 3° of the Consumer Code). However, any printing, manufacturing, or transport defect will be replaced or refunded.

Placing the order without spending the afternoon on it

There is no account to create, no quotes to request, no salesperson to call back. You upload the photo into the online studio, position it on the screen, add text if you like—a first name, a year, the team name—and see the result immediately. The photo does not leave your browser until the moment of payment.

The tip that saves the most time: order a single sample first, in mid-September. You receive it, judge the actual result, and approve the full order with peace of mind. A week lost on the calendar, but zero chance of ending up with thirty mugs that have an image that’s too dark.

If the gift is for one specific person rather than an entire team, our guide on colleague farewell gifts covers the subject from another angle.
