One t-shirt: the numbers
Print on demand does not prepare a run: each t-shirt is printed when it is ordered. So a single piece costs no more per item than a small batch.
- 1 t-shirt: $23.00, photo, text and delivery included.
- First order: 10% off from €35 with the code BIENVENUE10, entered at checkout.
- 2, 3 or 5 t-shirts: the same unit price. It does not change before 10 items.
- The t-shirt: Gildan 64000 Softstyle, 150 gsm cotton, 9 colours, adult sizes S to 2XL.
- The lead time: 5 to 10 working days in France, up to 15 outside France.
Why one item is possible
Traditional screen printing needs a screen per colour, and that setup costs the same for one shirt as for a hundred — hence the minimum orders of 25 or 50 you see everywhere. Digital print on demand has no setup: there is nothing to amortise, so a single piece is a normal order.
The trade-off is honest: at fifty or a hundred pieces, a local screen printer will often be cheaper. Below ten, print on demand wins.
The cases that come up
- A birthday present. One t-shirt, one photo, delivered straight to the person if you like — delivery is included, to any address.
- A test before a group order. Order one, check the print and the size, then order the rest. There is no penalty for splitting.
- A different design for each person. Ten different t-shirts cost the same as ten identical ones, since each is printed on its own — and ten items still trigger the automatic 10% discount.
The mistakes to avoid
- Sizing. The range starts at adult S; there is no children’s size. The size guide gives flat measurements.
- The photo. Use the original, not a copy from a chat: it has been recompressed, and it shows across a chest print. Aim for at least 2000 pixels on the short side.
- Ordering late. A personalised item is made after the order. Count two to three weeks before the date.
- Assuming both sides. Printing is on one side only.
Last thing before confirming: a personalised product carries no right of withdrawal (article L221-28 3° of the French Consumer Code), although any printing, manufacturing or transport defect is replaced or refunded.
